Meet the Team.

After a decade in corporate communications - most recently leading comms across Asia Pacific for a global crypto firm - Sheryl found herself at a crossroads. Burnt out from 16-hour days, late-night Zoom calls, and an always-on mindset, an unexpected layoff in late 2024 became the permission slip she didn’t know she needed.
What followed wasn’t a scramble back into the job market, but a meaningful recalibration. She called it a “micro-retirement”: a pause long enough to unlearn the idea that self-worth had to be measured in productivity, and to relearn what it meant to feel alive again.
In that space, something shifted. From fronting comms strategies to fronting a yoga studio front desk, she began reconnecting with the kind of work that filled her cup instead of draining it. Slowly, the vision for The Palm began to take root.
Sheryl co-founded The Palm as a response to the burnout culture she once called normal. It’s designed to be everything her old life wasn’t: calm, intentional, nourishing. At The Palm, she blends her strategic instincts with a deep commitment to building a space where people can breathe, move, recover, and reconnect - with themselves and with others.
Today, she channels her communications background into creating inclusive spaces, thoughtful client experiences, and honest conversations about wellness, worth, and balance. Her hope is that The Palm becomes more than a studio - and becomes a place that’s rooted in balance.
When not on the mats, Sheryl is an avid social pickleball player.

Raihan’s approach to yoga is rooted in resilience - a practice born from loss, healing, and rediscovery. She first came to the mat not with an injured body, but with a grieving heart. In 2012, after losing both her baby boy and her mother within months of each other, yoga became a lifeline - a space to breathe again, to feel again.
Her first experience with a heart-opening pose, Ustrasana, released emotions she hadn’t been able to express in a year. That moment became the beginning of a lifelong journey - from movement to meaning, from pain to purpose.
Since completing her teacher training in 2014 and further studies in India, Nepal, and New York, Raihan has spent over a decade teaching in renowned studios, guiding students through a practice that blends soulful intention with mindful movement.
At The Palm, Raihan leads with heart and vision as Head Instructor (Yoga) and Partnerships Lead, overseeing the studio’s teaching philosophy while cultivating meaningful collaborations that extend The Palm’s mission of balance and connection beyond its walls.
She believes yoga isn’t just about flexibility - it’s about finding strength in softness, and purpose in presence.

Aerdna’s introduction to yoga began in local community centres, practising alongside aunties whose strength, mobility, and quiet resilience left a lasting impression. Witnessing how yoga supported them through different stages of life sparked her curiosity - and what started as casual exploration soon grew into a deeper commitment to understanding the practice beyond the physical.
She completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2024 and now teaches vinyasa, hatha, and slow flow classes rooted in grounding and mindful movement. For Aerdna, yoga is about more than poses - it’s the shared energy in the room, the discipline of staying present through challenge, and the calm that lingers long after the class ends.
Her classes are designed to help students reset, feel gently energised, and reconnect with themselves - meeting the practice with intention, breath, and care.
When she’s not teaching, Aerdna enjoys travelling and uncovering great food tucked away in unexpected corners of Singapore.

Chloe
-
For Chloe, yoga is about strength with control, mindful pauses, and reconnecting body and mind. What began as a sporadic practice became a deeper journey earlier this year, when she completed her 200-hour teacher training to ground herself more fully in the discipline.
Since then, her practice has expanded to include sound baths, exploring how sound can complement movement as a restorative and balancing force. Her teaching style focuses on mindful movement and steady breath, with classes that are equal parts supportive and challenging - leaving students grounded, renewed, and more connected to themselves.
Beyond the mat, Chloe is a curious soul - from nutrition to art fairs and craft shops, she loves chasing hobbies and exploring new activities that spark joy and balance in her everyday life.
Daniel
-
Daniel first turned to yoga and Pilates to ease the aches and strains that came from long hours at work. What began as a way to care for his own body soon became a deeper journey - one that inspired him to teach and share the same transformation with others.
In his classes, Daniel brings a meticulous yet compassionate approach, weaving mindful movement, alignment, and breath awareness into every session. His teaching is inclusive and empowering, designed to support students of all levels in exploring their practice with curiosity, confidence, and balance.
For Daniel, movement is more than exercise - it’s a path toward resilience, renewal, and self-discovery.
Joanne
-
Joanne first came to yoga simply looking for a way to stay active - but what began as exercise soon became something deeper. Through breath and mindful movement, she discovered how yoga could quiet the mind and restore balance after long, demanding days.
Now, she hopes to help others find that same sense of strength, calm, and clarity - one mindful breath at a time. Her classes are gentle yet grounding, creating space for students to reconnect with themselves through awareness and movement.
Off the mat, Joanne loves spending time with her dogs, often in the kitchen baking or making homemade treats for them.
Joy
-
With more than a decade of teaching experience, Joy shares her practice through a heart-centered and inclusive approach. Her journey began in San Francisco, where she completed her 500-hour teacher training - a chapter that shaped her philosophy of making yoga accessible, safe, and empowering for all.
Alongside her expertise in Hatha and Vinyasa, Joy is also trained in Yin, Prenatal, Kids Yoga, and MyoFascial Release (MFR). Most recently, she completed in-house Mat Pilates training at The Palm, discovering a new love for Pilates and how it strengthens, refines awareness, and complements her yoga teachings.
Her classes are warm, grounding, and accessible - designed to support students of all ages and bodies in finding strength, ease, and presence.
Outside the studio, Joy finds balance in playful ways: spending time with her cats and dog, or sharpening her Muay Thai kicks at the gym.
Pam
-
Pam’s approach to movement is rooted in presence and mindfulness. What began as a way to quiet her mind gradually evolved into a deeper passion for movement and the fitness space - one grounded in intention rather than intensity.
She believes that feeling strong and healthy doesn’t have to mean pushing to exhaustion. Instead, true transformation comes from attention to detail, steady breath, and moving with awareness. Her classes focus on mindful strength, control, and consistency - encouraging students to tune in, slow down, and build resilience from the inside out.
Expect thoughtful programming, quiet focus, and yes - plenty (and possibly unlimited) mindful burns along the way.
Patricia
-
Rooted in movement from a young age, Patricia was trained in ballet, modern, and contemporary dance - shaping a lifelong relationship with embodied expression and intentional movement. With over two decades as a competitive dancer and performing artiste, she developed a deep respect for alignment, artistry, and moving with purpose.
She discovered yoga during Covid, where she found a natural resonance between the practice and contemporary movement. Having taught dance for several years, the emphasis on breath, structure, and mindful flow drew her toward completing her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. Merging her foundations in dance and yoga deepened her passion for dynamic yet grounded practices with intention, which eventually led her to pursue a certification in Mat Pilates.
Her love for teaching eventually inspired a career shift from seven years as an Entertainment Producer to a more embodied path. At The Palm, Patricia brings both worlds together - guiding movement with grace and presence, while also leading event planning to create thoughtful experiences that extend connection beyond the mat.

Her classes - spanning Hatha, Vinyasa, and Stretch - weave intelligent sequencing with mindful alignment, encouraging students to explore their edges with both curiosity and play. By blending yoga, Pilates, and mobility, Rozie helps students cultivate strength and flexibility while creating a safe space to connect more deeply with their bodies.

Shanelle
-
Shanelle’s approach to Pilates is equal parts strength and softness. She loves guiding people to uncover the depth and potential of their bodies, whether that means moving with more ease through the fundamentals, exploring subtle layers of control, or stepping confidently into new challenges.
For her, movement isn’t just exercise - it’s a way of coming home to yourself. In every session, she encourages clients to move with awareness, compassion, and curiosity, so that what begins on the mat can ripple into the rest of life.
Shi Jie
-
What began as a part-time escape during the Covid years slowly grew into something deeper for Shi Jie. Casual studio hopping turned into a dedicated practice, eventually leading her to Bali, where she completed her Yoga Teacher Training.
Since then, yoga has become her anchor. Whenever anxiety creeps in, she returns to the mat - a place to ground, to hold space for her feelings, and to remind herself: “I don’t know yet, and that’s okay.”
Shi Jie hopes to help students discover their own version of that space - a space to return to, one that brings them back to themselves each time they step on the mat.
Mandi
-
Mandi creates a safe and supportive space where students feel encouraged to explore, grow, and try something new. Her teaching balances strength and softness - moving fluidly between energising, high-intensity flows and deep, restorative stretches that invite the body to slow down and reset.
She believes true progress isn’t just about pushing harder, but about moving with awareness, building resilience, and cultivating flexibility in both body and mind. In her classes, you’ll find thoughtful sequencing, steady encouragement, and space to meet yourself where you are.
Beyond movement, Mandi values the power of community. She sees the studio as more than a place to work out - it’s a space where shared practice fosters connection, support, and collective growth.
